It's February 2013

Goodness gravy but it's been ages since I posted here. I haven't had a proper day of photography in a long time, with the exception of a couple of trips to the west coast. Unfortunately, that part of the world is so spectacularly beautiful that the photos are ill-suited to a blog which styles itself "unremarkable".
I've also been moving around a lot. I've moved to Kilkenny for a new job and spending basically every other hour making my own short film.
A bit silly, really.
Anyway, this morning we went out and, to some extent, about in Kilkenny. Here are some snaps.

Some yellow-headed Amazons have made their home in Bad Cannstatt in Stuttgart.

My back garden

I know the point of this blog was me for the celebrate the boring things that I love so much, but even still these photos are particularly inconsequential. I just want to have them online so I can see them whenever and wherever.
I imagine there's a French or German word for when you love a place so much that you it gives you a kind of pain and a weird sense of nostalgia even though it's right there in front of you in the present.

Pinhole

My good friend and genius Mistern Iclasf Asth suggested that I remove the lens of my camera, find some paper, poke a hole in it and use it as a lens.
I didn't know you could do that, so I did it.
This is what happened.

Gloaming

I'll be moving back to Dublin at some point in the fairly near future.
I'm really going to miss having such easy access to this place and the total silence of it.
